CV/Bio

In the early 1970's I started an entertainment company which created 3-D animated figures. My company enjoyed many successful years working with such companies as Disney, Universal Studios, Jim Henson Productions, Warner Brothers, Ford Motor Company, Chrysler, and AT&T.  During those years I sculpted many famous characters both cartoon and real, including Miss Piggy, Kermit, Bugs Bunny, Tweetie, Sylvester and others.  Although the company is sill a leader in the entertainment industry, I am now focusing on more personal creative efforts.

I am spending my time in my Florida studio "The Bead Board" painting and sculpting.  In the past I have been an abstract expressionist painter and a minimalist sculptor but now consider myself a realistic painter/sculptor.  Being a realist gives me the opportunity to express myself using the techniques I learned during my formal art training.

I am a graduate of the Art Center School in Los Angeles and have studied abroad in Italy.

My first job was at the Famous Artist Correspondence School in Ct. working with it's founders Norman Rockwell and Al Dorne.  Between my job with Famous Artists and starting my animation company I taught art privately, in the public education system and on the college level.  Currently I am on staff to teach a course at a N.C craft school next summer.
